The Lost Legacy Depot

The Depot level was a very traditional Uncharted level, a mix of traversal, puzzles, and combat, ending with an epic set piece. Because of that, it was an enjoyable level to work on, with lots of variety.
In the game, the player had just left some incredibly ornate, fantastic areas, and we were transitioning the story away from ancient tombs, and back into the modern world, building towards the end of the game. So we wanted the level to feel a bit more grounded in reality. For architecture, the buildings are simple, fairly modern construction, made of concrete, wood, and corrugated metal. The train line was abandoned, and the entire level is being reclaimed by the jungle, so any structures were in a general state of disrepair. It felt like one part Uncharted and one part TLOU.
